About Malvern Theatres Young Company
Malvern Theatres Young Company was established in 2012 and aims to create a unique opportunity for talented performers to experience life in a theatre.
Working with a full professional team, including directors, choreographers, costume, set and lighting designers, Malvern Theatres Young Company allows young people the chance to be involved in a professionally staged theatre production; empowering them to take their first steps into this exciting career.
Malvern Theatres is committed to training the next generation of theatre professionals and is dedicated to ensuring that all young people can participate in high quality arts training.
75% of Malvern Theatres Young Company members go on to full time study or work within the arts sector. Our alumni can be found across the industry, from backstage and production, to starring roles and event teaching; all making a significant impact on the future of theatre.
We invite young people wanting to pursue a career in the creative aspects of theatre making to be part of a team that is professionally led. There will be creative opportunities for students to demonstrate original creative thinking alongside these productions and also other projects that will be happening here throughout the year.
There are opportunities for you to get involved in our summer project which offers professional training in all aspects of drama performance. It is the one time where you can be involved with productions that are delivered ‘in-house’, working to a tight schedule you have the chance to be part of productions that are performed in The Festival Theatre and Forum Theatre.
