Casting and Audition Process

Our production of Jesus Christ Superstar is open to all.

This is a dynamic, fresh and exciting production of this classic musical.

The Director and Choreographer are inviting auditions from performers who feel they can bring strong acting and vocal ability to all of the roles and to our very important dynamic ensemble. We are looking for performers who have strong acting skills, a rock / pop vocal, and a good sense of movement.

Principals

We are looking for actors who can bring something different to the roles and the Production Team and are not seeing the roles as fixed gender or type.

If you want to try for a role, do so. Do not copy previous performances and styles.

If the song keys are wrong for you, we are willing to listen to you perform YOUR version and where acceptable we can work keys to suit the performer. (This is at the discretion of the Director)

Dancers and Ensemble

We are also looking for skilled and experienced contemporary dance performers who will feature heavily, please showcase all of your skills during your audition and be vocal about your abilities.

The ensemble participation is very intense and should not be seen as ‘Chorus’. We are looking for very accomplished actors, singers and dancers who can carry multiple roles (Apostles / Priests) and vocal styles. Ensemble positions are very featured throughout the production and will be cast with a view to covering named roles.

For any questions regarding casting, please contact Rhiannon.
