Perfect Circle Youth Theatre presents Shakespeare’s story of jealousy, transformation, and reconciliation. The production features a cast of local teenagers taking on the challenge of one of Shakespeare’s most unusual texts – the play is split across two distinctly different locations, and features a 16-year time jump, some comedy shepherds, and theatre’s most famous stage direction. Our version uses the original text, but is abridged and lasts approx. 80 minutes.

Perfect Circle have been running drama and theatre projects for local young people since 2006. In addition to our annual Shakespeare, we devise and write our own work, and take part in the National Theatre Connections project. We have performed at various locations including Malvern Cube, Worcester Theatres, Sherman Theatre Cardiff, Theatre Royal Bath, Wales Millennium Centre, Warwick Arts Centre, and we are very happy to be bringing our second Shakespeare to Malvern Theatres after the success of last year’s Hamlet.

Perfect Circle’s approach is very much led by the group. We have a young people’s committee who make decisions about productions, venues, and other projects. The group are encouraged to direct, write, design, operate tech, and support every aspect of the production.

Perfect Circle Youth Theatres next production will be ‘Wildfire Road’ by Eve Leigh, part of the National Theatre Connections project, performing at Malvern Cube and Worcester Theatres in the Spring. Please contact lee@perfectcircletheatre.com if you’d like to get involved.
