A whimsical, occasionally melancholic and very charming romp through the Italian countryside in the company of two ageing boozers.
Carlobianchi and Doriano are charismatic criminals with big personalities and a treasure trove of stories from their glory days. Fallen on hard times, they survive on anecdotes and bar fare. If only they could dig up the cash their old pal Genio buried before he left for Argentina… and maybe they will! Right after that last drink. Taking sweet, hapless architecture student Giulio under their grizzled wing, the trio embark on a zestful road trip through the Venetian plains, beautifully shot on grainy film.
