The Last Free Rave is a written and directed by Rachel Tobin, a Malvern Skylines Production.
The peace of Castlemorton Common is destroyed, when the biggest free rave arrives on their doorstep. Meanwhile a family’s dark secret, kept for so long, is about to be revealed by an unlikely friendship.
The play is based on the Castlemorton Rave – which started out in 1992 as a small, free festival for travellers but not only went down in history as the biggest illegal rave ever in the UK, but resulted in a trial costing £4 million and the passing of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act.
The Last Free Rave will be performed at 2:30 and 7:30PM on Saturday 9th August at the Coach House Theatre, Malvern as part of the Malvern Pen and Curtain Festival. The play will also tour small venues and village halls in the future.
