BORDERLINES FILM FESTIVAL 2025
DIRECTOR: Gints Zilbalodis
BELGIUM/FRANCE/LATVIA, 2024, 1 HOUR 24 MINUTES, NO DIALOGUE
R RELAXED SCREENING: Saturday 8th March at 11am
In the face of a devastating flood, the solitary Cat embarks on a bold adventure that pushes both humans and dialogue out of the frame.
In a mysterious, unearthly environment, rendered in a distinctive 3D animation style, Cat forges bonds with other creatures, all imbued with a rare specificity of character, despite never uttering a word. As with last year’s Robot Dreams, the power of animation to tell universal, emotionally piercing stories about our connections with others is unparalleled. It’s a treat not only for cat lovers (who will find themselves utterly charmed), but for anyone who loves to be dazzled by the incredible scope of animation.
Shortlisted for International Feature Film Oscar (Latvia)
