Sheep hit the dancefloor in this comic and radiantly colourful coming-of-age story about the unifying power of music.

A motherless 15-year-old in a remote North Macedonian village, Ahmet herds sheep and cares for his kid brother. Weighed down by his father’s rules and hemmed in by his community’s conservatism, he finds refuge in techno music, which brings him closer to Aya – but she’s already promised… Uplifted by an extraordinary young cast and a rich soundtrack of regional as well as English language songs, DJ Ahmet dances fairytale-like along the line between modernity and tradition.
