Culture and Conversation: A talk and discussion series in partnership with the University of Worcester, delivered by expert lecturers in each field.

Dance and Wellbeing – Using Movement to Make Sense of Difficult Times with Paul Goltz

How can movement help us navigate the challenging moments in our lives? In this gentle and uplifting talk, choreographer and educator Paul Golz explores how dance and embodied storytelling can support wellbeing, resilience and emotional understanding. Drawing on the creative processes behind the project These Stories We Tell, Paul reveals how movement, imagination and narrative can help us make sense of experiences that words sometimes cannot reach.

Audiences will be invited to reflect on the power of the body to process memory, emotion and change, and to discover how simple, mindful approaches to movement can offer grounding and insight. If suitable for the session, Paul may also share a short practical demonstration of the techniques used in the creative process.

This event is open to everyone — no dance experience needed, just curiosity and an openness to exploring how movement connects us to ourselves and others.
