Barry Keoghan (Saltburn, The Banshees of Inisherin) and Christopher Abbott (Poor Things) give terrific performances in this blood-soaked drama.
The remaining son of a shepherding family, Michael (Abbott) lives with his ailing father Ray. When a simmering conflict with rival farmer Gary and his son Jack (Keoghan) escalates, powered by past feuds, a devastating chain of events puts both families on a collision course. Set in a rural Ireland every bit as harsh and unyielding as the Old West, this is a brutal vision of toxic masculinity, a taut, twisting thriller and a mournful lament about people unable to reach beyond themselves to break a generations-old cycle of harm.
Please note: this film includes a brief scene with a depiction of animal cruelty
