Teenager Noor chases a friend through the streets of Nablus, only to be drawn into an intifada – with fateful consequences.

Inspired by the real-life experiences of Palestinian American filmmaker Cherien Dabis, her own family, relatives and friends, the film powerfully explores the shared humanity of those forced to confront cycles of violence and the enduring trauma passed down through generations. Told with vivid detail, compassion and authenticity, the story is anchored by Dabis herself, who takes on the central role of the mother recounting her family’s journey.

“…surprising, beautifully textured and deeply moving.” Adrian Horton, The Guardian
