Malvern Theatres is a nationally renowned arts complex set in the heart of the beautiful Malvern Hills AONB.  We are seeking exceptional individuals to contribute to its ongoing success.

 

TECHNICIAN (Sound)

Full time post (37 hours a week) based on a permanent contract with a salary package of circa £28-£30k including get-out payments (approx. £5-£7k per annum averaged over last two years)

Malvern Theatres are looking for a highly motivated individual with a minimum of two years experience as a sound technician, to support the Technical Director with the day to day running of the Malvern Theatres complex.  The successful applicant will need to work as a member of the Technical Department in a professional and supportive manner and maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout the Theatres.

It would be desirable for the ideal candidate to possess the following skills:

  • Good all-round technical knowledge with a sound bias.
  • Able to install/operate lighting and sound equipment.
  • Portable appliance testing training certificate is desirable.
  • Forward thinking and planning are essential.
  • Previous experience within a multi-purpose/multi-functional venue is very desirable as is being IT literate.

BOX OFFICE ASSISTANT

Full time post (34 hrs per week) based on a permanent contract. Salary £21,474

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar front line customer care environment, be a team player and able to work well under pressure. The hours will be worked over a five-day week and will include evenings and weekends.

BOX OFFICE ASSISTANT & CINEMA USHER

This is a part-time, permanent post (12hrs per week) combining both the roles of Box Office Assistant & Cinema Usher. Box Office Assistant 6 hours a week (Saturday only) and Cinema Usher 6 hours a week (worked on a rota basis). Flexibility will be required particularly for the role of Cinema Usher where the allocated weekly shifts will involve working daytime, evening, weekdays (including bank holidays) and weekends.

Salary is £7,163 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar front line customer care environment, possess excellent customer service and communication skills, work well under pressure and able to work independently or as part of a team showing flexibility and adaptability to the changing needs of the venue.
